2 Years Natural 🎉🎉

Today is March 15, 2017…

It is has been 2 years since I did the big chop. I personally has grown a lot from this experience and my hair have definitely grown.

I’m no longer a “product junkie”. I have found products that I tend to stick with and that seem to work for me. The line that I use is Taliah Waajid. Her product maybe considered a little pricey but a little product goes a long way.

I’ve also learned to accept the fact that everyone hair is different. You have to learn your hair. I still have a few issues when I try new hairstyle, but I normally can pull something off. Hair pins should be your best friend- and gel. I’m currently struggling to learn how to flat twist. Well- I haven’t put that much effort in trying to learn but once I do learn, I’ll have more looks.

I’m going to post some pictures from my journey. From March 15,2015 until now. I hope you enjoy!

One year hair-aversary

Well yesterday I hit the one year mark. One year post relaxer and 4 months post the BIG CHOP. I love the journey so far. Although my styles rarely come out like YouTube I still like the process of seeing what work with my hair and what doesn’t. I even went out to a party wearing my natural hair out. I was real close to just getting braids but I didn’t. In fact I’m still wearing that same style today and it’s been over 2 weeks. That’s the longest ever. I had it done 7/10 and today is 7/27. WOW!!

My hair-versary is from 7/26/14 – 7/26/15 WhoopWhoop!!

Of course here is some pictures…

Selfies

I LOVE SELFIES! If the hair is laid the right way; or if the colors are cute… Better believe that a selfie will be taken. Not only that… there are 5 days left for my hair-versary. June 26, 2014 was my last relaxer. So I’m super excited about that. I’m quite sure there will be plenty of pictures to come. But here are a few SELFIES!!

Twist out…

So I’m still trying to get the perfect twist out. Um…yea… I’m no where close. I never have any definition. I have no curl pattern…. My hair is just there. Watching a few videos I realize that I’ve been taking the short cut on some of the steps. 1st- the LOC process. So that’s actually 3 products that I have to put in each section of hair. (I’ll normally wet it and rub something on it wether it be oil, cream or something.) Not actually the leave in conditioner, oil, and cream. Then I see people coiling the ends…yea I just tried twisting it all the way through or even platting the ends of my twist- so it will stay. Then I see how they take the time to untwist from the end to the root. Yea I just started from the root to the end unless it was tangled. I’m a complete mess. Who has time for that? That’s an all day process and I just have a twa. But I’m committed. I’m gonna really work on this Saturday. Am I the only one?
